The AIS is located in a 66 Hectare site campus in the northern suburb of Bruce
Requirement:
A seating upgrade was required for the pool-deck to cater for spectators and athletes.
The existing 4 tier grandstand was an old timber structure that required replacing with a modern long-lasting seating solution.
The new tiered seating areas within the pool-deck needed to fit within the existing layout and structure along the 50-metre pool with the seating needing to be comfortable, have clean lines, be attractive to the eye, rust-proof and easy to clean and maintain and be long lasting.
Solution
In consultation with Grandstands Australia, The AIS carefully considered aluminium seating options and selected the Grandstands Australia seating system as the best solution based on quality and price.
We were able to match the existing timber tiered seating structure with a new aluminium 4 tier seating system that would be more suitable for a wet area.
The tiered seating area on the pool-deck, raised the comfort level and the longevity of the seating for pool.
Result
The new seating created a streamlined environment with the attractive silver tiered seating replacing the old worn timber.
The new grandstand is striking and provides more comfortable viewing for spectators. The new aluminium seating is rust proof, low maintenance and highly durable. With a 20-year structural warranty, providing the AIS Pool Deck with many years of seating.
